I don’t know how you got here, – hell, I don’t know how I got here – but … HERE … we are!

You know what they say about Ole Birds,  like seagulls,  all they do sit around,  squawk and … do that other thing!

So you want to know something about this Ole Bird? –

Why?  What’s it to you?

Not much to tell I suppose,  just try to treat people right, help where I can, behave most of the time, take my blood pressure medicine when I’m supposed to, and generally stay out of trouble.

Problem is, I’ve never been very good at that last part!

My philosophy …

I think Einstein was right – about socialism and the atom bomb (worked didn’t it?)!

Steimetiz was my hero – also a socialist – and a genius (memorized the log tables from 0 to 10,000 – any of you wimps remember LOG tables).

Tesla died a pauper after Edison stole him blind – so began the domination of the middleclass by Corporate America. (and I don’t have anything good to say about German, British or China business models either!)

I subscribe to the Henry Ford school of Customer Relationship Management (give’em any color they want as long as its BLACK) !

Jim Buffet is my generation’s Robert Frost … and Chet Atkins had ten fingers … ON EACH HAND!

Charlie Daniels got it right – about Georgia and the devil – it is hot as hell – from Columbus south – and Vidalia the only place I know that actually has a GNAT Festival!

Louis Grizzard died way before his time  …   poor ole Catfish! I though the world of him (Grizzard not the dog) … even if he was a rabid Georgia Bull Dawg!

Ludlow Porch (his half brother) is a fair radio announcer over there in Gwinnett County – home of some of the worlds best Fried Green Tomatoes – (May God have mercy on Fannie Flag’s soul – Issy’s too!)

I’m a Blue Dawg Conservative Democrat from the ole South – believe slavery was fundamentally wrong – and so was stealing everything from our Native American cousins.

Jackson(Andrew),  Bush and Cheney are War Criminals  and I’m convinced  Ethic’s do not exist in the corporate board rooms of businesses with 100 or more employees or in the mind of every politician I’ve ever known.

Some government is unavoidable, the military/industrial complex is essentially in control, and all the phones are now legally tapped thanks the GDubu.

Sara Palin and Osama Ben Laden are the two most dangerous people in the world at the moment.

Abortions should be between a woman and her God – but should include sterilization after the third trip (both parties of the first part – not GOD)!

The definition of marriage should not be changed to accommodate the GLBT community – monogamous pairs should have equal rights – but don’t call it marriage – sanitary engineer – was a bad enough abuse of the language!

Some of the nicest people I know are Muslim and worst … are Christian (and a few Jews thrown in for good measure!) – All of them will fight to the death to prove they are right – let’em – just keep me out of it!

And lastly .. I have a sign hanging on my gate here at Flag Pond that offers confirmation of the after life – just climb over it – uninvited – and YOU … will have no lingering doubts!  :)
